The collection consists of correspondence written to Florence concerning Jordans's death and other topics. In addition to sympathy correspondence there are letters concerning legal matters and a telegram from Coretta Scott King. There are also numerous items dealing with Koinonia community, including the Safeway Scandal, insurance claims and racial violence. The collection also includes the original Koinonia commitment and the Coroner's Report on Clarence Jordan's death. The collection also contains correspondence related to Russell Treyz and Harry Chapin's musical adaptation of Jordan's Cotton Patch Gospels.

The collection consists of the papers of Thomas Carr and his son, William A. Carr of Columbia County, Georgia from 1730-1891. Includes correspondence, bills, receipts, land grants, court records, bonds, and slave records. The account records include food, clothes, construction supplies, medical care, household goods, travel, church membership, and other goods. Materials mainly related to late 18th and early 19th century land speculation in Camden County (Ga.), Augusta (Richmond County), and Virginia, Yazoo purchase, and northeast Georgia. Correspondents include William Few, Ignatius Few, John Beddingfield (Bedingfield), Oliver Towles, Seaborn Jones, Edward Telfair, Mordecai Sheftall, George Stubblefield, Richard Call, Jacob Weed, William Glascock, James Jackson, Nicholas Ware, William Crawford, Black Point and Kiokee plantations.

This collection consists of correspondence, printed material, photographs, and ephemera related to the original 1910 publication of The Alexander Letters, a selection of family letters edited by Marion Boggs and published by George Baldwin. The Alexander Letters was a book detailing one high-profile family of 19th century Georgia. This collection contains genealogical research regarding the Alexander family descendants by Elizabeth Ford, Carolyn B. Timmann, and David Peters Irwin leading up to the 2002 reprinting.

William "Jack" Payne papers, 1950-2005

The William "Jack" Payne Papers covers the dates 1950 through 2004 with an emphasis on Payne's work with the UGA Microbiology Department. Reprints of Payne's writings are found in this collection along with material relating to the research and writing of the manuscript "Pasteur, Gayon and Dupetit and the Closure of Reiset's Nitrogen Cycle." Also in the collection are Payne's Department of Microbiology scrapbooks for the years 1953 through 2003. In addition, the collection includes correspondence with colleagues around the world along with numerous photographs and slides. Also included are lecture and conference notes along with documentation of the department's close association with University College in Cardiff, UK.

Paris Music Hall collection, circa 1920-1939

The Paris Music Hall Collection comprises over 6,000 original renderings of costume designs and 1,000 original renderings of curtain designs for the music halls of Paris from 1920 to 1938. The collection, acquired in 1968 by the Library, was originally the property of Max Weldy who provided the elaborate costumes and curtains to the Folies Bergere, Moulin Rouge and other popular cabarets and music halls. Weldy maintained a stable of young, extraordinarily imaginative designers who flocked to Paris from all over Europe to establish a name for themselves. Among the first of Weldy's artists was Romain de Tirtoff, a fledgling designer from Russia, who would later be internationally renowned as Erté.

The Harriette Austin papers consists of three series: Creative Writing (1970s-2008), Personal Materials (1979-2016) and Photographs (1917-2007). The Creative Writing series consists of Harriette Austin's writings and manuscripts generated over the years by her Creative Writing students. The Personal Materials series includes her Vita, Obituary, correspondence and other materials. The third series holds photographs which date from 1917 through 2007. They mostly feature photographs of her Creative Writing students.

Walter Danner papers, 1940-1973

Abstract Or Scope:

The Walter Danner papers span the years 1940 through 1973 and is divided into two series: Desegregation (1959-1961) and Administratve Materials/Correspondence (1940-1973). The first series, Desegregation, deals with the efforts of African Americans (particularly Charlayne Hunter and Hamilton Holmes) to be accepted to the University of Georgia and the actions Danner took as Registrar. The second series, Administrative Materials/Correspondence, includes correspondence and other materials that show Danner's interactions with University of Georgia departments and faculty along with with various outside organizations.
