This collection contains slides of buildings, traffic, people, shops, and businesses in and around Athens, Georgia taken by Walker Montgomery.

The collection consists of correspondence, policy board minutes, by-laws, surveys, plans, evaluations and projects connected with the Athens Model Cities Program from 1968-1973.

The collection consists of two items: a receipt for bonds deposited in the National Bank of Athens, received of James Barrow, Treasurer of the City of Athens, dated October 3, 1929; an ordinance to levy and assess taxes and raise revenue for the City of Athens for the year 1921.

The collection consists of a scrapbook compiled to honor Alberta Church upon her marriage to R. L. Stephens.

This collection contains one Progress Pride flag, which was flown over Athens-Clarke County City Hall in June of 2022 for Pride month. This was the first time the flag was flown by the unified government in city history. The collection also contains two rainbow ribbons, which were used to celebrate the installation and dedication of the Rainbow Crosswalk in Downtown Athens, Georgia, on National Coming Out Day in October 2022. In addition to the flag and ribbons, there is a plaque and information placard.

This collection includes ephemera gathered at Athens PRIDE such as stickers, pins, informational pamphlets, flags, bracelets, and a copy of the Athens Queer Map.

The collection consists of clippings, biographical material, and some correspondence of Dr. George Hugh Boyd from 1918-1972. The collection also includes papers published by Boyd and speeches written by Boyd. In a copy of a letter written in 1942 to his son, Dr. Boyd discusses some of his plans for the development of research at the University of Georgia.

The collection (donated by Athens Regional library, February 1, 1979) consists of three items in braille that pertains to the Athens area. Items include "Emergency and frequently called telephone numbers in the Athens area", "Phone numbers for dentists in Athens, Georgia", and "Phone numbers for beauty salons in Athens, Georgia."

The collection consists of petitions of the Athens Historical Society, the Society for the Preservation of Old Athens, and concerned citizens, to prevent the commercial zoning of Milledge Avenue from Broad Street north to Reese Street. Several hundred names are signed to theCitizens Signature Petition Offered printed in The Banner-Herald, Athens, Georgia, mimeographed petition sheets and letters, all protesting the re-zoning of "one of the South's best architectural assets."

The collection consists of photocopies of articles concerning activities of the Athens Rotary club, and Squeaks from the Rotary Wheel, a column by Sam Woods, from 1927-1951. Original material retained includes a list of signatures, and some correspondence to and from rotary club members.
