in Georgia and the United States; and James Alexander McHatton family papers pertaining to the family's flight to Cuba after
the Civil War, their life on a plantation in Cuba, and their return to the United States.
The collection also includes photographs (1870-1900) of the Chinn, Lustrat, and McHatton families; printed material pertaining
to Norwich (Conn.); publications (1903-1932, with gaps) of Spring Hill College (Mobile, Ala.); publications (1889-1908) of
Dr. Henry C. McHatton; financial records (1919-1939) of Thomas H. McHatton; manuscripts of Eliza C. McHatton Ripley's book
From Flag to Flag; and postcard albums.
