with ornate initials and borders. Eight items are on vellum, three contain musical notation, are in Latin and appear to be
religious in nature. One document is a leaf from the 1479 Biblia Latina by Nicholas Jenson of Venice. Also included is a full-page
metalcut of the Virgin Mary from a French book of hours and Seven illuminated initials by Giovanni da Cramariis.

Some are typescripts, carbon copies of the typescripts, and handwritten copies of the original county records. These were
compiled by the Historical Records Survey from 1938-1941, and were deposited in the Atlanta office. When the WPA office closed,
the records were dispersed to various institutions in Georgia. A calendar compiled in 1971 by Susan Tate accompanies the collection.
