The collection consists of one Greek manuscript, probably papyrus, origin unknown, from the early 2nd century A. D. It measures 6.2 X 7 cm with a 2 cm margin at the lefthand side. It is a small fragment of a private letter written in a fair upright script to be compared with W. Schubart, Tabula 22. Only the beginning of seven lines is preserved and the document is difficult to read. "A son Herm[ ]" or "a son of Herm[ ]" is mentioned in 1.2. The word "grapes" occurs in 1.3.

The materials document Deen's personal interests, his writing career, touch briefly on his tenure on the Georgia Court of Appeals and his actitivites as Carl Sanders' campaign manager (8th district) during the 1962 gubernatorial election, but mainly focus on Deen's interest in scientific creationism. The collection consists of letters, pictures, clippings, manuscripts, programs, printed materials, notes, file cards, and other materials concerning the life, career, and writings of the late Dr. Clarence Leonard Jordan, founder of Koinonia Farms, an agricultural missionary enterprise, and inter-racial community. The early letters, largely from Clarence Jordan to his mother, are most revealing as to the character of the man. The many clippings and printed materials about Clarence Jordan and Koinonia also give insight into the community life, and the programs indicate the wide demand for Dr. Jordan as a speaker. The collection also includes the manuscripts, both written and typed, with annotations and/or corrections and revisions of many of Dr. Jordan's writings, particularly the Cotton Patch versions of the Gospels. The collection is arranged into folders but for the most part it has been described at container level.

The collection consists of clippings, printed material, manuscripts, photographs, correspondence, and ephemera documenting a broad range of events, activities, people, and places in the state of Georgia from the earliest American Indian settlements through the early 1980s and, specifically, the history of senators in Georgia through the late 1970s. Drafts and research materials for Josephine Mellichamp's book, Senators from Georgia, provide an abundance of information on the careers of Georgia senators. The drafts of "Georgia Heritage" contained in these papers may be the only extant copies of the manuscript since the material was never published. The collection consists of papers of Nellie Peters Black from 1875-1920. The collection primarily contains materials relating to Black's involvement in various organizations and in her stock farm. Includes records (1905-1928) relating to Black's position as secretary of the Women's Auxiliary of the Atlanta Archdeaconry of the Episcopal Church; programs (1906-1907, 1909-1911) of the Every Saturday Club (Atlanta, Ga.), a literary society; a scrapbook (1898-1911) containing correspondence, accounts, and newspaper clippings relating to her involvement in the Atlanta Free Kindergarten Association; and a scrapbook (1914-1915) documenting her role in establishing agricultural rallies through the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs. Other materials relating to Black include diaries of a trip to Mexico (1875) and two European tours (1904, 1906); speeches, newspaper clippings, and an extensive collection of photographs of the Peters and Black families. The papers include the manuscript and galley proofs of the reminiscences of her father, Richard Peters; some correspondence of her husband George R. Black; and account books (1897-1916) of the Richard Peters Stock Farm (Calhoun, Gordon County, Ga.). Also includes papers of her daughter Nita Black Rucker (1900-1940) mainly family correspondence and Rucker's writings about Cora Harris and Nellie Black Peters.
