The collection consists of family sheets, photographs, newspaper clippings and related materials.

The Tate Society papers contain files documenting their activities from their beginning in 1990, as well as materials related to Dean Tate himself. Of particular interest in the latter catagory is a transcript of one of Tate's renowned campus tours, seemingly corrected and annotated by Tate himself.

The collection consists of papers of Mills B. Lane, Jr. Mills B. Lane, Sr. and the Mills family from 1916-1989. Materials (1916-1943) relating to Mills B. Lane, Sr. include incoming correspondence and carbon copies of Mills' outgoing letters, clippings, photographs, and legal documents. The materials document Mills' banking activities including his presidency of the Citizens and Southern National Bank (Savannah, Ga.) and tenure as chairman of the Board, as well as Mills' involvement with Georgia real estate sales, fertilizer and chemical companies, and his assistance to Georgia farmers through bank loans. Correspondents include Lane's brother Edward W. Lane and A.P. Brantley.

This collection includes minutes, reports and support documents dating from 1822 to 1967. The faculty minutes for 1846 to 1850 and 1890 to 1902 are missing and may have been destroyed in the Library fire of 1904. In addition, the collection is missing the minutes from 1934 through 1944 but does include the ones from 1945 through 1957. There are also a few minutes from 1958 to 1967.

The Mary Ethel Creswell papers consist of documents relating to her life before and after becoming the first woman to receive an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and the first dean of the School of Home Economics. The collection includes correspondence, photographs, speeches, clippings, certificates, and printed material. Additionally, some material pertains to Mary's sister, Edith Vaughn Creswell.

The Charles H. Wharton papers are comprised primarily of Dr. Wharton's correspondence, journals, notes, sketches, maps, articles, and publications relating to his investigations and research of a wide range of natural history topics together with a concentration on health and nutrition research. He is best known for his pioneering work The Natural Environments of Georgia.

This collection consists of papers, book excerpts, clippings, events, organizations, and photographs relating to Isadora Duncan. There is biographical material, dance studies, artistic evaluation, and other tangential dance subjects that relate back to Duncan's work. The collection also follows the Isadorables and 3rd generation Duncan dancers like Lori Belilove. Jordan Massee's correspondence within this collection mainly consists of him seeking more information related to Isadora Duncan.

This collection contains drafts, manuscripts, promotional materials, articles, and administrative files regarding the writing career of the author Sue Monk Kidd.

The collection consists of papers of Peggy Gaddis Dern from ca. 1944-1968. The papers consist primarily of outlines and typescript manuscripts of thirty-seven of her novels, typescripts of fourteen novelettes and short stories, a few pieces of correspondence, and book contracts.
