The collection consists of two letters from Harry Crews to author James Leo Herlihy, from 1972-1973. Herlihy is known for his novels All Fall Down (1960) and Midnight Cowboy (1965), as well as his play Blue Denim (1958), all of which were adapted for film. The first letter concerns the University of Florida Writers' Conference, of which Crews is director. Crews updates Herlihy on the dates of the conference, discusses compensation for his attendance, and requests a picture and biographical sketch that includes Herlihy's publications. In the second letter, Crews thanks Herlihy for his praise of his book and suggests that they get together soon.

The Harry E. Harman III scrapbook collection consists of four scrapbooks created by Harry Harman III. One of the scrapbooks focuses on his father, Harry Harman II, who was a star player on the University of Georgia football and baseball teams in the early 20th century. This scrapbook mostly deals with the senior Harman's 1908 athletic season. The other three scrapbooks were also created by the younger Harman and feature his athletic career from 1926 through 1937. The two early scrapbooks feature Harry's high school sports career at Woodberry Forest School in Woodberry, Virginia. One of these scrapbooks includes correspondence from various coaches (including Georgia's coach H.J. Stegeman) to Harmon. The fourth scrapbook is devoted to Harry's athletic endeavors at the University of Georgia. In addition to the scrapbooks, also included is the younger Harmon's Southeastern Conference high jump medal from 1937.

Consists of two handwritten manuscripts containing notes by Gustavus A. Hartrampf. The volumes were later published as what is now known as Hartrampf's Vocabularies: Synonyms, Antonyms, Relatives. Although the manuscripts are mostly undated, the year 1922 is written inside the front cover of one, although faded.
