Scope and content:

The collection consists of papers of Harvey Dan Abrams from 1952-1977. Included are photographs of Abrams' military tour of duty in the Philippines (circa 1952), correspondence regarding publications, photocopies of newspaper clippings, and special notes from the White House signed by Richard Nixon, Betty and Gerald R. Ford, and Lyndon B. Johnson.

Biographical / historical:

Harvey Dan Abrams was a prominent Atlanta bookseller and appraiser. In addition his publishing firm has arranged the printing of a fine series of works of local Georgia writers. He is the nephew of Medora Field Perkerson.
