The collection consists of one typescript: The revival of the Ku Klux Klan, by Frank McCallister, dated June 1940, 15 pages, outlining the development and revival of the Ku Klux Klan. Includes newspaper clippings and editorial cartoons about the Klan from 1937-1940. The text was for an anti-Klan pamphlet issued by the Workers Defense League to "aid the campaing to make secure our Bill of Rights; help extend our democracy ot embrace Southern mill workers adn Negroes."

The collection consists of 368 booklets dealing with newspaper clippings, court minutes, and minutes of various county departments. Some are typescripts, carbon copies of the typescripts, and handwritten copies of the original county records. These were compiled by the Historical Records Survey from 1938-1941, and were deposited in the Atlanta office. When the WPA office closed, the records were dispersed to various institutions in Georgia. A calendar compiled in 1971 by Susan Tate accompanies the collection.

The collection consists of a 168 page typescript (photocopy) of THE 116TH AAA GUN BN MOBILE, compiled and styled by John Grove Murray. The volume chronicles the unit from its beginning in 1943 through the Normandy Invasion on Utah Beach on 6 June 1944, on through Paris and Sedan, France into Belgium, Holland and Germany. Included are unit commendations, rosters, and other vital statistics. Written in the 1940s, Col. James D. Shearouse added his comments 42 years later.

The collection consists of five letters written by Benet to Florence Locke and Eleanor Adlard dealing with proposed dramatic readings from "John Brown's Body" and commentaries by Benet about them. Miss Locke had asked that Benet prepare a short synopis of the Civil War for English audiences. The synopsis, a five-page typescript with minor correction, is included with the letter dated September 24, 1934. The letters in the collection are: 1.) September 7, 1934, letter to Florence Locke; 2.) September 24, 1934, letter and synopsis to Florence Locke; 3.) January 12, 1935, letter to Eleanor Adlard; 4.)
