The collection consists of two letters dated November 18, 1907, directed to George Foster Peabody from Edward E. Hale and
Frank Boas regarding study of the Cherokee Indian language. A third letter dated November 19, 1907 is from Mr. Peabody's secretary
to Chancellor David C. Barrow, University of Georgia, enclosing the two former letters. A photocopy of Hale's biography from
an unknown source is included.

The collection consists of two Egyptian grave bowls, given by Sir Flinders Petrie, the English Egyptologist, to Nathaniel
B. Stewart in 1917; two strips from a palm book, either Burmese or Thai, also gift to Stewart from Petrie; one letter from
Stewart to his daughter-in-law Mrs. Bucknell dated "American Consular Service, Port Said, Egypt, December, 1917." One letter
from Chancellor David C. Barrow of the University of Georgia, to John Addison Cobb, grandfather of Mrs. Bucknell, regarding
Stewart prior to his marriage to Lucy M. Cobb Taylor, Mrs. Bucknell's mother. Also included is one picture of the Senior Class
of 1893. The class included a picture of Stewart as well as Jim Taylor, Mrs. Bucknell's father.

The collection consists of miscellaneous materials chiefly concerning Andrew A. Lipscomb, Chancellor of the University of
Georgia, and his son, Francis Adgate Lipscomb, class of 1866 and later Professor of Belles Lettres. There are eight typescripts
of poems by A. A. Lipscomb on various topics. Class notes and literary society speeches of F. A. Lipscomb during his terms
at the University are present as well as his complete lecture book for British literature (1872-1873). In addition there
is a small group of correspondence between father and son. There is also a small amount of correspondence between Mrs. M.
A. Lipscomb and David C. Barrow concerning the establishment of the Crawford W. Long infirmary on the University campus.
Also present is a genealogy of the "Descendants of John Hall and Mary Parker of Maryland," compiled by H. M. Chapman of Washington,
D. C., in 1898.
