Most of the entries pertain to Georgia and discuss the people and towns Kellogg visited. Kellogg writes about plantations and farming practices, particularly cotton and rice; and slavery, including how enslaved populations lived, their treatment, and religious instruction.

Bonner; dated January 23, 1961, the third is a friendly letter of congratulation on her 80th birthday; and dated February 11, 1961, the fourth letter is following up on a question that Mrs. Bonner had not answered from Kilpatrick's previous letter, asking that she write "a page or so" regarding her work as a student under him and what it meant to her (a volume of such letters is being compiled and will be bound and deposited in the Columbia Teacher's College Library). Also included are two photocopies, Dr. Kilpatrick's obituary and a brief biographical sketch.

The collection consists of letters written in German by Hans Korff, a set of stamps, envelopes, and a poster. The letters were sent by Korff to his family while he was held as a prisoner of war in France during the First World War. The stamps in the collection are mounted to show the hyperinflation in the Weimar Republic in the early 1920s. The envelopes contained correspondence between Korff while he was living in Mexico and his family back in Germany. The envelopes mailed post-WWII show British and American censor marks. The poster displays a quote by Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, a German nationalist who was seen as an ideological forebear to Nazism.

The collection consists of records of the Athens (Ga.) Klan #5 of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) from 1921-1930. The records include correspondence, newsletters, minutes, quarterly reports, membership cards, dues records, recommendation cards, receipts, and forms for robe requisitions relating to the activities of the Athens KKK #5. The correspondence (1921-1929) contains letters to the Klan asking for financial assistance, thank-yous for assistance rendered, as well as official correspondence, some from national KKK headquarters on membership standings, meetings, induction ceremonies, and recruitment. The correspondence also discusses Georgia politics, especially the 1926 gubernatorial election. The minutes (1925-1926) document Klan meetings and contain information on dues paid, elections, social events or official ceremonies, help for the needy, and investigations of new or current members.

The map documents the battle of Soko-Dobropolje-Vetrenik, Macedonia, the Salonika's Campaign in August-September 1918. The map is a reproduction manufactured by Neuroder Kunstantstalt, Berlin.
