Render and his wife Mary Jane (Dixon) Render, and John Tillman Dixon. One letter mentions the Charleston Convention (1860). Of particular interest are three letters from John Tillman Dixon, serving with the 29th Georgia Infantry Regiment, to his sister Mary Jane, while stationed at Richmond during the Civil War.
