Scope and Content
The collection consists of papers relating to the Dixon family of Meriwether County, Georgia including correspondence of John L. Dixon, Joshua L. Render and his wife Mary Jane (Dixon) Render, and John Tillman Dixon. Of particular interest are three letters from John Tillman Dixon, serving with the 29th Georgia Infantry Regiment, to his sister Mary Jane, while stationed at Richmond during the Civil War.
