Historical Note

Anthony Dennis "Tony" Galis (1901-1965) and Steve Vacalis created and ran Tony's Restaurant on East Clayton Street in downtown Athens, Georgia. He married Yota Economy in 1934 and had three children, Dennis C., Leon, and Constantine Galis.
