The collection includes administrative files; financial records; meeting minutes, agendas, and notes; newsletters; project files; and photographs regarding the creation and activities of the Friends of Oconee Hill Cemetery. The administrative files include versions of the bylaws, constitution, and articles of incorporation; marketing and publicity files; and membership information. The project files document numerous preservation activities including landscape management and grounds maintenance; restoration of the Sexton House, Cobb-Lumpkin lot and fence, and the iron truss bridge; and research projects to identify graves.

The collection consists of letters, speeches, newspaper articles, maps, photos, and indenture, and a cemetery survey that chronicle Athens history. University history is recorded in newspaper articles and some letters and Georgia history in speeches, newspaper articles, and brochures. Athens Historical Society (AHS) history is recorded in minutes, newsletters, correspondence, and speeches. AHS internal papers include directories, membership rolls, Constitution and by-laws, rosters, news releases, and a paper entitled The First Twenty Years: A Brief History of the Athens Historical Society. The collection also has the papers, scripts, and newspaper clippings concerning the AHS produced video The Presence of the Past: Historic Houses of Athens, Georgia. See also the typescripts of the full soundtrack of the video Reminiscences of Old Athens. Later additions to the collection include financial papers, Athens Historical Society Papers Volume II, and material regarding the "Vanishing Athens" project, Crampton's Gap project, Clarke County Cemeteries project, and Ellis Merton Coulter birthday commemoration.

The papers, as retrieved from his office on the 7th floor of the Ilah Dunlap Little Library, were divided into four series. The adminstrative series document Pelletier's activities as Provost. There are donation and correspondence files related to his work with the Georgia Museum of Art and the UGA Library, with the exception of files related to artist John Taylor Arms that are found in series four.

Jonathan Clark Rogers papers, 1938-1967

Abstract Or Scope:

The collection consists of Jonathan Clark Rogers' papers. There are nine boxes of Administrative Subject and Correspondence Files arranged in alphabetical order and embracing chiefly the years of Rogers' Presidential tenancy, though there are records from as early as 1938 and as late as 1955. There is also a document box which houses a scrapbook of appreciation and a second clipping and photo scrapbook encompassing the years 1949-1967. Finally, an 11th box has been appended to the Rogers papers. This box, dealing with the Atlanta Division of the University of Georgia (today, Georgia State University), embraces records from 1947 through 1956, though the heart of the material again locates temporally in the tenure of Rogers as the President of the University of Georgia. This box may house materials of interest to researchers of the presidential tenures of Harmon W. Caldwell and Omer C. Aderhold as well.

The College of Veterinary Medicine records holds items that date from the earliest days of the school's creation in the 1940s through 1997. Series one is "Administrative Files" which holds materials such as correspondence, minutes, photographs and employee biographical information. These materials date from 1946 to 1997. Series two is "Diagnostic Laboratories" and consists of material relating to the College's Diagnostic Laboratories from the 1970s through the early 1980s. Series three is "Financial" and has budget information and other records documenting the school's finances from 1952 to 1972. Series four is "Reader's Files." These are documents that were read and shared among department heads at the College of Veterinary Medicine during 1967 to 1978. Series five is "Plaques/Certificates" and has two plaques and two certificates dating from 1965 to 1985. Series six includes class photographs spanning several years. Series seven contains administrative papers, reports, and photographs regarding the Poultry Disease Research Center (PDRC) and the Master of Avian Medicine degree program.
