The collection consists of three photographs of Spanish-American War camp scenes in Chickamauga Park, Georgia. Depicted are groups of soldiers, horse-drawn cannons, tents, horses, packs and equipment.

Included are images of business, family members, and James Herman Worley's second grade class at Elberton Public School. The photographs are scanned reproductions, not originals.

Also included is a war ration book issued to Edna J. Eaton, wife of Harold A. Eaton, Haverhill, Massachusetts; United States War-Savings Certificate issued to Callie Sheppard, Greensboro, North Carolina, 1918; and an explanatory letter addressed to the University of Georgia Library, dated May 20, 1986, from Sgt. Joseph W. Reid.

The collection contains three photographs of the Confederate memorial in Savannah, Georgia during a Memorial Day celebration circa 1896 with partial, handwritten annotations on the backs. Handwritten annotations on the backs of the images read, "Presented by J. Gardner."
