This collection contains photographic reproductions of the Worley family who ran the Worley Laundry & Dry Cleaning Company in Elberton, Georgia. Included are images of business, family members, and James Herman Worley's second grade class at Elberton Public School. The photographs are scanned reproductions, not originals.

Biographical / historical:

The Worley family ran a laundry and dry cleaning business in Elberton, Georgia. James Ambrose Worley began the business, J. A. Worley Tailoring and Pressing Club, in 1899. The business was later renamed the Worley Laundry & Dry Cleaning Company and James Herman Worley worked there with his father.
