Also included are scrapbooks, notesbooks, and clippings highlighting Barrow's professional work before, after, and during his time as chancellor.

The collection consists of the records of the Grand Lodge of Georgia of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows from 1902-1917 (with gaps). The bulk of the collection is comprised of the correspondence of Grand Masters John W. Bennett (1904-1905), T.H. Robertson (1905-1906), B.B. McCowen (1906-1907), and James Howard Dozier (1907-1908). The correspondence pertains to the daily business of the Lodge including financial matters, elections, the establishment and dissolution of local lodges, and its relationship with the Rebekah Assembly (the women's branches). The collection also contains some printed material (1902-1917, with gaps) including proceedings, constitutions, and bylaws of various Georgia lodges.

Erwin, Jr.

The collection consists of correspondence, printed material, manuscripts, financial records, account books, and scrapbooks. Correspondence between Tate family members relates to news of family and friends. Correspondents include Carter Tate, Edna Tate, Philip May Tate, Susan Tate, and William Tate. Earlier materials pertain to Athens businessman Asaph King Childs, including account books, cash books, bills and receipts, correspondence, and timebooks documenting Childs' involvement with or management of the Cliff House (Tallulah Falls, Ga.), Childs & Moss (Athens, Ga.), and Childs, Nickerson & Company (Athens, Ga.). The collection also contains Civil War correspondence between Shatt C. Mitchell of the 13th Georgia Infantry Regiment and his wife Chloe including letters describing the battle of Antietam (Md.). Additional materials include scrapbooks containing clippings relating to Corra Harris.

Abstract Or Scope:

This collection consists of 71 ledgers and two boxes of loose material. The ledgers concern the Lowe Farm and store in Hancock County, Georgia, run by E.H. Lowe and his wife Hattie J. Lowe. E.H. took meticulous notes on both his farm and store. During World War II, he paid careful attention to rationing regulations and other wartime laws. There is a considerable amount of business correspondence loosely held within the ledgers. Some are advertisements sent through the mail, others are receipts and notes about shipments and payments.

Abstract Or Scope:
The collection consists of records of the Georgia Ornithological Society from 1936-1950s, and two of its members from 1896-1975. Records include correspondence, minutes, financial reports, bird lists, membership lists, printed material, photographs, and a scrapbook (1936-1943) documenting the Society's early history. In addition, the collection includes notebooks (1896-1901) of Robert Windsor Smith, in which he denotes detailed records on weather and bird sightings in DeKalb County (Ga.) and Kirkwood (Ga.) Also included are materials relating to Earle R. Greene including his notes on Florida birds (1924-1966), photographs, daily journals (1968-1975) of a personal nature, and publications in which he appears.
