The William Tate Papers are composed of both personal and administrative files from Tate's tenure as Dean of Freshmen, Dean of Students, Assistant to the President, Dean of Men, Associate Professor of English, Dean Emeritus, and volunteer fund raiser with the UGA Alumni Society. These papers consist of: the personal correspondence of the immediate Tate family, relatives and friends (incoming and outgoing) for the period of 1924-1930; the administrative fields of the Dean Tate spanning the years 1924-1971; and Tate's personal reference file for the years 1925-1980.

Includes a wide variety of sheet music from the early 19th-mid 20th century documenting the Civil War, World Wars, motion pictures, major social events, technological advancements, and changing social norms.

The collection consists of two letters from Captain A. B. Cree in Savannah, Georgia to his wife Mattie in Iowa City, Iowa on February 24 and May 16, 1865. The letters, written while Cree was stationed in Savannah with the 22nd Iowa Infantry Regiment, discuss family news, describe his impressions of the city, and his opinions of Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee.

This collection contains a significant portion of E. Paul Torrance's publications through his career, as well as related and similiar published research from other education scholars. The additional portion contains audiovisual material and physical objects, many of a more personal nature, about E. Paul Torrance's career and life.

The collection consists of material on the Howard and Randolph family lines of Virginia and Georgia and contains photographs, correspondence and several copies of other genealogies and several bound volumes. A post card collection has items sent to Lucy Howard and purchased items, business and legal papers, a copy of a sketch of Cobb Legion Cavalry, photographs of Lucy Howard, and family bibles. Two oversized folders contain a Callaway Family diagram and a large, framed photograph.
