The Art Rosenbaum Oral History Series includes six interviews with Art Rosenbaum, interviewed by Craig Breaden in Athens, Georgia. Rosenbaum (born 1938) is an art professor emeritus at the University of Georgia, an artist, musician, and folklorist. In 2008, he won a Grammy award for Best Historical Album for his music collection Art of Field Recording Volume I: Fifty Years of Traditional American Music Documented by Art Rosenbaum (released in November 2007). In these interviews, Rosenbaum talks about collecting and recording songs, the history behind some of the tracks on his 2007 music collection, and the response after the collection was released.

Richard B. Russell Jr. served in public office for fifty years as a state legislator (1920-1931), governor of Georgia (1931-1932), and U.S. Senator (1933-1971). Best known for his opposition to civil rights legislation, Russell also focused on national defense, agriculture, soil and water conservation, and economic growth in Georgia. This collection contains a poster used during Russell's brief campaign for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 1952.

Scope and content The Senate Staff Oral History Project documents the professional careers and reflections of individuals who served on the staffs of Georgia's United States Senators from Richard B. Russell, Jr. to the present. Interview participants include members of legislative and committee staffs who worked in Washington D.C. and Georgia. Most interviewees held one or more senior positions including, but not limited to, administrative assistant (or chief of staff), staff director, legal counsel, legislative aide, legislative director, policy analyst, press secretary, regional director, and scheduler. The collection documents the personal experiences and insights of these staff members as they relate to their experience working for U.S. Senators from Georgia, the role of the United States Senate in government, the Senate as a workplace, and memorable campaigns and legislative debates. It also includes assessments of the legacies left by Georgia's U.S. Senators with regard to politics and public policy in Georgia and the United States.
