The front of the leaflet features a black and white photograph of Mrs. George S. Williams, president. The collection consists of papers of Nellie Peters Black from 1875-1920. The collection primarily contains materials relating to Black's involvement in various organizations and in her stock farm. Includes records (1905-1928) relating to Black's position as secretary of the Women's Auxiliary of the Atlanta Archdeaconry of the Episcopal Church; programs (1906-1907, 1909-1911) of the Every Saturday Club (Atlanta, Ga.), a literary society; a scrapbook (1898-1911) containing correspondence, accounts, and newspaper clippings relating to her involvement in the Atlanta Free Kindergarten Association; and a scrapbook (1914-1915) documenting her role in establishing agricultural rallies through the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs. Other materials relating to Black include diaries of a trip to Mexico (1875) and two European tours (1904, 1906); speeches, newspaper clippings, and an extensive collection of photographs of the Peters and Black families. The papers include the manuscript and galley proofs of the reminiscences of her father, Richard Peters; some correspondence of her husband George R. Black; and account books (1897-1916) of the Richard Peters Stock Farm (Calhoun, Gordon County, Ga.). Also includes papers of her daughter Nita Black Rucker (1900-1940) mainly family correspondence and Rucker's writings about Cora Harris and Nellie Black Peters.

The collection consists of the papers of the Branch family of Savannah, Georgia from 1830-1961. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence between Charlotte Sawyer Branch and her sons John L., Sanford W., and Hamilton McDevil Branch, who served mainly in the 8th Georgia Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. The letters describe the 1st Battle of Bull Run, the death of John, the subsequent capture of Sanford (who had stayed with his dying brother), the Seven Days Battle, the 2nd Battle of Bull Run, and the Battle of Gettysburg, where Sanford was wounded and captured again. Hamilton transferred to the 54th Georgia Infantry Regiment and writes about the regiment's involvement in the Atlanta Campaign, particularly the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. He also writes from Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee while serving with Nathan Bedford Forrest.

The collection consists of the papers of Walter B. Hill and the Hill family from 1818-1941. The papers include correspondence, legal documents from Hill's law practice, notebooks containing Hill's law lectures or class notes, an 1878 diary of Hill's daily activities, photographs, scrapbooks of clippings documenting Hill's career, speeches, and writings of Hill, letterbooks, and printed material pertaining to temperance activities in Georgia and the United States. The correspondence is mostly between family members discussing personal business but a few pertain to Hill's professional career and discuss education in Georgia, politics, or articles written by Hill. Correspondents include Hill's parents Mary Clay Birch Hill and Barnard Hill, his brother Herbert C. Hill, his wife Sallie Parna Barker (Hill), and children Parna B. Hill, Mary Minot (Brown), and Roger M. Hill. The letterbooks (1888-1893 and 1898-1899) mainly pertain to Hill's law practice with the firms of Hill & Harris (Macon, Ga.) or Hill, Harris and Birch (Macon, Ga.), but also include information on Hill's activities with the Georgia Bar Association and temperance societies. After Hill's death in 1905, the correspondence is between Sallie B. Hill, Parna B. Hill, Mary M. Brown, and Walter B. Hill. Much of the materials pertain to Sallie's work with farmer's wives as part of the University of Georgia's extension service, Parna's activities with canning and poultry clubs through the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, and both women's service with the League of Women Voters of Georgia.

note This collection consists of the papers of Joseph Rucker and Clarinda Pendleton Lamar from 1792-1936 and includes correspondence, scrapbooks, certificates, engagement books, invitations, speeches, and telegrams pertaining to Joseph Lamar's service on the Georgia and U.S. Supreme Courts; Clarinda Lamar's involvement with the Colonial Dames of America; and the Lamars' personal and public life in Augusta, Georgia and Washington, D.C. Correspondents of Justice Lamar, many of whom also continued to correspond with Mrs. Lamar after his death, included Augusta friends W. H. Barrett, J. C. C. Black, E. H. Callaway, Ed. B. Hook and Andrew J. Cobb of Athens. Other notables included Woodrow Wilson, William H. Taft, Charles Evans Hughes, Oliver Wendell Holmes, James A. Garfield, William Jennings Bryan, and Octave Thanet (pseudonym of author Alice French). Mrs. Lamar also corresponded with Helen Taft, Mary Custis Lee, Edith Bolling Wilson, Martha Berry, Daisy Low (Juliette Gordon), and Eleanor and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
