Spalding defends Georgia in relation to its treatment of the Creek Indians. The present copy is of an unknown original, although two accompanying documents shed light on the origins.

The collection consists of two notebooks containing writings of John Jones Gresham. The larger volume contains orations delivered at exhibitions and events at the University of Georgia (1830-1833). Reversing the book, Gresham wrote Moot questions, notes, and accounts of money received and paid out (1835). The smaller volume includes Gresham's valedictory speech delivered at his graduation from the University of Georgia in 1833 (which is also included in the larger volume).

Dr. Waddel wrote: "...before you pass the threshold of public life, I would suggest to you a few rules, the observance of which will infallibly conduce to your public usefulness and personal happiness...make daily improvements in the acquisition of useful knowledge...in order to attain eminence in every useful and laudable pursuit, diligence and industrious application are absolutely necessary...punctilious attention to the fulfilment of promise... To respect and desire the good opinion of our fellow men is a duty incumbent upon all...your Creator requires your supreme affection, your reverential homage, and your filial confidence."

The cassette tapes are recordings of interviews with Governors Miller [1991] and Perdue [circa 2000s] discussing their UGA football memories. The DVD holds an interview with 101 year old UGA alumnus Louise Jordan [2014] and the VHS tape is about the UGA Studies Abroad Program in Cortona, Italy [ND]. The photocopied notes are from a 1956 speech by Mary Morris Miller.
