The collection consists of a typescript titled Okefenokee Swamp by John M. Hopkins, and two typewritten letters to John M. Hopkins, Waycross, Georgia, from Lucien Harris, dated March 25 and July 31, 1947, regarding publication of Hopkins' Okefenokee report, and alligator pictures. The collection also includes photocopies of a map of Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, and copies of photographs used in Hopkins' book.

The Office Administration Series consists of agency, personnel, campaign, and political files, and projects Stuckey was involved with during his service in Congress. Topics include: Cumberland Island and the Okefenokee Swamp project; expanding Atlanta's airport to include international flights to Europe and the Pacific region; Corps of Engineers' work on the Satilla and Altamaha Rivers; Vietnam conflict and Lt. William Calley's case; and impeachment of President Richard Nixon.

The collection consists of clippings, printed material, manuscripts, photographs, correspondence, and ephemera documenting a broad range of events, activities, people, and places in the state of Georgia from the earliest American Indian settlements through the early 1980s and, specifically, the history of senators in Georgia through the late 1970s. Drafts and research materials for Josephine Mellichamp's book, Senators from Georgia, provide an abundance of information on the careers of Georgia senators. The drafts of "Georgia Heritage" contained in these papers may be the only extant copies of the manuscript since the material was never published. The collection also contains a small collection of printed works.
