War correspondence includes letters from T. Z. Little at Camp Cutts and Camp Forest, Manassas Junction, Virginia (1861) and
Joseph M. Little, Camp Miserable, Orange Court House, Virginia (1861) and Camp Pine Thicket, Virginia (1863). The letters
discuss battles, including fighting at Winchester, and Captain A.S. Cutts of the 11th Georgia Artillery Battalion, Company
A. Letters from the women, including Sarah A. R. Little, reveal their views of the Civil War and their related activities.

Island, Massachusetts; and Augusta, Savannah, and Thomasville, Georgia and contain descriptions of the different areas, his
duties, the Civil War, and peace-keeping activities during Reconstruction. The collection also contains a few letters from
Pease's brothers, Dixon and Plummer.

his wife are both romantic and sexually explicit. During World War II many of his letters discuss his future plans of owning
a farm.

Islands when the Spanish first came to Georgia. Please God... closely follows Majette's life story. Her writings also include
children's stories and poems, some of which are in a scrapbook she made for her granddaughter in 1929.

The collection consists of many folders of loose material including clippings, letters, drawings of Epps planes, writings,
and photographs. Of particular note are several good aerial views of Athens and the University of Georgia (circa 1920-1930s).
Also of interest are several pages of reminiscences by Ben Epps, Jr., in which he writes about his early life and flying.
Additional material received in 2002 includes flight manuals, membership cards, transcripts of interviews, etc. The most important
item in this collection is a scrapbook (1904-1963) which documents Epps' life as a builder and flyer of airplanes. Included
are over 200 photographs, as well as some clippings and letters. A few photographs, etc. can be found here of other pilots,
planes, and Epps' children who were also flyers.
