The collection consists of one letter to Governor Joseph E. Brown from T.R.R. Cobb in regard to a report by Thweatt concerning the endowment of the University of Georgia. The report apparently blames the University Trustees for squandering funds. Cobb believes the report incorrect and proceeds to strongly contradict the figures given.

The collection consists of correspondence written to George A. Horkan from family members in Georgia, Texas, California, the Yukon, and Ireland, from 1893-1908. Correspondence from J.F. Horkan mainly describe Horkan's business dealings. Correspondence from William Horkan describe his business attempts and wanderings. Correspondence from P.D. Horkan, on P.D. Horkan and Co. Wholesale and Retail Dry Goods, Augusta, Georgia letterhead, contain news of family and business matters. Correspondence from Horkan's mother, sister, and niece relay family news. The letter dated Swinford, December 30, 1896, "My dear son, George," signed "From your fond and dying mother, Margreat Horkan," was written from Margreat's deathbed, and includes a note from Horkan's sister, Mary.

This collection contains letters, dated September 5-November 12, 1862, written by Chapman in Canada to his wife Caroline at home in Brookyn, New York. In the letters, Chapman tells her of his lodgings, his attempts to support himself by selling maps and books, his thoughts on the war, and his advice on how to manage the household and finances. He also describes getting his passport and the steamboat trip to Canada. By reading newspapers, he is able to keep up with the draft news. The last two letters are written from Vermont as Chapman prepares to come home.

The collection consists of letters that were exchanged between William Few, his wife Catherine and their children. Catherine Few also wrote letters to her sister Maria Few Montgomery, her grandchildren and her friend, Harriett Woodward Murray. There are several letters written by Joseph Hopper Nicholson (1770-1817), cousin of Catherine Few, to Frances Few. Writings and a biographical sketch of William Few are included. These are family letters describing such topics as children, health, social activities, local and foreign travel and weather, there is also commentary on political and military matters. Some of the letters of Joseph Nicholson mention his part in the War of 1812 bombardment of Fort McHenry in Maryland.

Cleary writes several letters about God, Christianity, and another death row inmate's attempt to stab him. There are also emails between Butcher, family members of the inmates; and letters Butcher writes asking for clemency for both inmates. Papers also include offender queries printed from the Georgia Department of Corrections and Oklahoma Department of Corrections, containing Brown's and Cleary's physical descriptions and sentence details; newspaper clippings regarding the executions, and various prison forms; and documents concerning the execution process, and rules and regulations of visiting death row inmates.

Correspondence are personal in nature, and the letter dated Franklin Parish, September 15, 1986, mainly regards being locked up. The collection also consists of three Blood issue: A drama in two acts typescripts, and photocopies of reviews of Body. One review is inscribed by Crews: "Mell: if not for you, we both know this book might never have been written ... Not too shabby for an old drunk written off as finished, eh?"
