documenting the business transactions of the Bank of George Walton Felker, 1884-1934, including balance ledgers, deposit ledgers,
collection registers, bank registers, check drafts, balance books, daybooks, loans and investments, and address books.

The collection consists of letters to Arabella Cleveland from the Dent family and a few other friends, although the majority
of the letters are from Ophelia. After their father's death, Miriam and Ophelia operated a dairy on the plantation, and the
letters describe daily life on the plantation including weather, the Hofwyl dairy, food, flowers, servants, family dogs and
poignant letters about their deaths, social events, travel, antiques, sewing and clothes. Ophelia often visited the Belins
at their home Evermay (Washington, DC) and the DuPonts at their estate Longwood (Kennett Square, PA). The Dents were friends
with the Haynes family at Ashantilly, the Huston family at Butler Plantation and the Phillips family in Savannah.

Expeditionary Force.
Also included is a DVD recording of a 64th anniversary celebration of D-Day in Normandy, France. F. C. Chandler, Jr. attended
the ceremony as a guest of the United States Air Force.

focuses on family, health, and social life, among other topics. The financial papers in the collection consist of legal documents
about the estates of the deceased, communication with attorneys, banks, and retailers, inventories of assets, and receipts
from large purchases. The clippings, which date largely from the 1930s, mainly cover weddings, divorces, and deaths in the
Mdivani family, as well as their social lives, hobbies, and gossip surrounding their relationships. Photographs document the
lives of all five Mdivani siblings and their many spouses and include images of childhood and family life, weddings, social
events, travels, residences, hobbies, personal belongings, recreation, and the military career of General Zakhari Mdivani.
The collection also includes the diaries of Dennis Conan Doyle and Anthony Harwood, scrapbooks, genealogy, and artifacts,
such as Conan Doyle's racing trophy.

Much of the correspondence is comprised of letters to Macon and Florence Brock from Macon's mother and sisters Para and Bonnie.
Other items relating to Para Lee Brock include some genealogical notes, research notes for an article on Robert E. Lee published
in the 1965 "Georgia Review", and an extensive photograph album of the 1941 WATL Travel Scholarship Tour including some photographs
of the 1942 tour, a 1941 trip to Mexico with friends, and a trip to the mountains of Northern Georgia with her sister Bonnie.

The collection consists of miscellaneous papers of Eugene Muse Mitchell, including a letter (1887), receipt for his first
office rent, promissory note (1881), autograph album, report cards from Means High School (1881-1882), reports from the University
of Georgia (1882-1885), clippings related to the Mitchell family, two pages of a debate "Whether the Crusades were Beneficial
to Europe," (this was the topic debated on May 27, 1881, by the Phi Kappa Society at the University of Georgia). There is
a Phi Beta Kappa Society, Alpha Chapter of Georgia certificate dated 1914.There are also three samples of cotton from the
Atlanta Cotton Exposition of 1881 labeled as to origin and each is wrapped in a broadside listing the candidates for Alderman
and councilmen in the five wards (of Atlanta?). Thirteen photographs including a group photo of UGA law school class of 1885.

This collection includes legal documents related to Letitia Vandexen (sic) Smith, Thomas Smith and Frances Sophia Smith. The
Thomas Smith letterbook mainly consists of correspondence between members of the Thomas Smith family from 1767-1841. The earliest
letters (1767 and 1784) are from Smith to his mother Elizabeth Lawrence in Aberdeenshire, England. A group of 21 letters between
Smith and his cousin Dr. Peter Smith of Aberdeenshire discuss the American lifestyle, medical schools and practices, and the
judicial system. Another group of letters to Judge Jasper Yeates and Governor Thomas Mifflin refer to legal decisions and
court procedures. Other correspondents include Dr. Philip Physick and Smith's brother Charles of London, England. Also included
in the letterbook are two proclamations awarding judgeships to Smith, legal documents pertaining to the settlement of Smith's
estate (1816), and documents relating to land sales or mortgaged property (1826 and 1841). Series 2 contains typescripts of
letters between Thomas Smith and soon-to-be U.S. President George Washington in 1785-1786, in which Smith was acting as Washington's
attorney for some land suits in Philadelphia. The typescripts were made by Burton Alva Konkle in 1902. Finally, Series 3.
contains letters between Thomas Smith scholar Burton Alva Konkle and Wymberly Jones De Renne regarding the Thomas Smith collection.

including those which appeared in the New Yorker. Those stories were later combined to form Windham's autobiography of his
childhood home in Atlanta, Emblems of Conduct.

photographs, and newspaper articles relating to subjects Mr. Davis has written about. Included are materials about Georgia's
participation in the Texas Revolution; Charles Cole Hind and Aetna Insurance; and miscellaneous Georgia material (especially
historic Georgia houses). The first deposit relates to Georgia's participation in the Texas Revolution. There is general soldier
information, rosters, maps, flags, and photographs, plus specific information on James W. Fannin and William A. Ward. The
Charles Cole Hind and Aetna Insurance material concerns Georgia and Alabama. Mrs. Hind, as the insurance representative, made
pre-Civil War building insurance surveys in the two states; xeroxes of the surveys are in this collection. There is also a
copy of the book of instruction for agents & a bound copy of The 100 Years of Fire Insurance..., the history of Aetna from
1819-1919. Finally, selections from the miscellaneous Georgia material include: information about the Harris-Pearson-Walker
House in Augusta, Carter's Quarters (National Register house) in Murray County, gold mining in Georgia, and materials gathered
on the history of Clinton and other places in Georgia.

The collection consists of letters, cartes-de-visite (most unidentified), biographical information on Rachel Gunby Jordan
and Eugene P. Burnett, printed material, Confederate money, clippings, and locks of hair. The main portion of the collection
consists of letters written to Delia D. Jordan in Sparta, Georgia, from her fiance Eugene Paul Burnett during the Civil War.
His letters describe daily camp life, his duties as Inspector General, and details of battles as he moved through South Carolina,
Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. There are also letters from Delia's brothers, William Franklin Jordan, Robert Pierpont
Jordan, and George Gunby Jordan.
Also in the collection is a photograph of General Robert E. Lee and an Augusta newspaper, Daily Constitutionalist, from July
3, 1862. The newspaper contains descriptions of the current battles and lists of wounded men, including W.F. Jordan.
