The collection consists of one autograph album kept by Bunnie Browning of Athens, Georgia, from 1859-1866. Several autographs
are by Confederate soldiers from Athens, Georgia, including three who served in the Athens Guards, Co. K, 3rd Georgia Infantry
(George Graham, Charles B. Mason, and Charles W. Reynolds). Sentiments, many in the form of poems, are from Miss Browning's
friends and are typical of the Victorian period.

The collection consists of one volume containing newspaper clippings and typescript. The book is seventy-seven pages long,
though most are blank and pages 16-24 are missing.
Several newspapers printed articles, contemplating war figures, at the war's end. The volume has several of these, including
ones entitled "Resources of South in War: Comparative Strengths of the Belligerents," "The Men Who Fought for the South in
1861-1865," and "Relative Numbers." Other typed lists show the analysis more clearly. One in particular titled "Strength of
the Confederate Army (At the close of the War)" details those surrendered, killed, and wounded. Slight comparisons with the
Union are made. These were made in the early years after the war before reconciliation and Reconstruction.

and upon arriving in Tallahassee, the illness and death of General Grayson. In 1863, he writes a short entry discussing the
war's impact on his personal philosophy. The volume also contains personal financial accounts from 1868-1869.

war. One letter dated March 23, 1860 begins "Dear Cousin," and is signed "I remain your friend Mary C. Allison Miss M. Holland."
