Scope and Content

The collection consists of one autograph album kept by Bunnie Browning of Athens, Georgia, from 1859-1866. Several autographs are by Confederate soldiers from Athens, Georgia, including three who served in the Athens Guards, Co. K, 3rd Georgia Infantry (George Graham, Charles B. Mason, and Charles W. Reynolds). Sentiments, many in the form of poems, are from Miss Browning's friends and are typical of the Victorian period.
