This collection contains a playbill advertising "Love In A Village" and "The Author" for December 11, 1790 by Theatre Royal, Covent Garden in London. The playbill notes that the performances were given "by desire of the Cherokee Chiefs" referring to a delegation of several Cherokee and Creek men led by William Augustus Bowles who traveled to England to seek military support for a proposed separate Native American state, the Nation of Muskogee, on land in Florida belonging to Spain and the United States.

Playbills for the Theater an der Wien (Vienna, Austria) and Theater in der Leopoldstat (Vienna, Austria) under the directorship of Karl Carl [Bernbrunn] from July-December 1843. The playbills document the theaters program including the name of the production and the cast. Some playbills list performances for both theaters. The collection also contains playbills for the Stadttheater in Riga for December 27, 1838, January 12, 1839, and February 21, 1840. These playbills are all combined into one bound book.

The collection consists of materials pertaining to the production of the passion play The Wayfarer from 1919-1920 and includes the playbook of director Lawrence H. Rich containing autographs of performers, a typed program, sheet music, and hand written notes on stage directions, sound effects, and lighting. A scrapbook contains photographs of Walter Hampden, Blanche Yurka, Helen Newitt, Theo Karle, and scenes of the pageant; clippings; a poster; programs; and brochures relating to The Wayfarer. The collection also includes a booklet of the musical score and photographs, probably from D.W. Griffin's unreleased film production of The Wayfarer.

The collection consists of the manuscript copy of Sidney Lanier's dialect poem, "The Power of Prayer (Or The First Steamboat Up the Alabama)". The manuscript is signed on page 5 "Sidney and Clifford Lanier" but is actually in the autograph of neither. An address, "195 Dean St. Brooklyn, N. Y.", is given in the upper left hand corner of page 1. The five-page poem is mounted on 10 inch x 12 inch sheets and bound in maroon cloth-covered boards. Also bound in is a contemporary engraving of Sidney Lanier.
