This collection contains a letter from Congressman Joshua Hill to an unknown judge in Georgia laying out the ideology of the short-lived conservative Constitutional Union Party. The letter criticises Republican and Democratic views, and refernces the John Brown's raid at Harper's Ferry, Virginia.

The collection consists of one letter (and a transcript of the letter): dated Madison, Georgia, May 24, 1869, "His Excellency The President," signed "Joshua Hill," regarding Georgia's support of the Federal government's reconstruction policy and recent problems with race relations.

The collection consists of one receipt from Wood, Eddy & Co., Manager's Office of the Greene & Pulaski Monument and Sparta Academy Lotteries dated Augusta, Georgia April 15, 1859, to Mr. Joshua Parsons, for the purchase of Georgia lottery tickets.

The letter informs Mr. Silliman of the Secretary of the Treasury's approval of the selection of three parcels of land for the use of schools in the town of Grange that he must reserve from sale.

The collection consists of the testimony of Josiah M. Hunt, May 29, 1848, in the case of Carr vs. Georgia Rail Road and Banking Company.

A letter from Josiah Tattnall to General Henry C. Wayne that conveys Tattnall's intent to travel to Washington, D.C. to resign his post as Commodore of the U.S. Navy, in response to Georgia's vote to secede from the Union, and to immediately return to Georgia to join the state navy. After many battles as a flag officer of the Confederate Navy, Tattnall was later captured by Sherman in Savannah in late 1864.

This collection contains a school notebook with notes on metal and mining taken during courses at the University of Georgia. The book was later repurposed as a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, written recipes, and family history.

The collection consists of several copies of Southern Woman's Magazine containing book reviews by Selene Ayer Armstrong; miscellaneous clippings from the Washington D.C. Star, the Women Worth While column; copies of telegrams regarding her engagement and marriage; a brief biography of Dudley Harmon, the man she married; a partial journal of the years in Connecticut; and several pieces of correspondence.

Journal contains original and copied poetry, anecdotes, a list of Mr. Furlow's classmates, and a list of the textbooks used by him as a student at the University of Georgia.

The collection consists of one manuscript notebook (undated) that contains handwritten notes on rational sextic curves and Cayley symmetroids.
