This collection contains a photograph of the doorway of the Bowen house in Clinton, Georgia. On the back of the photograph is information about the house written in 1913 by Jones County resident Telamon Cuyler. The house was erected in 1803.

The collection consists of correspondence from Horatio to his mother in 1864. He writes from "Camp 16th GA Regt." near "Gaines Farm," Petersburg, and near "Chesterfield Heights," Virginia; about his battles and wounds. Further letters are signed "S. B. David," and "Alice," and concern Dr. Bell's buggy, and the deaths of Simeon David and Daisie David. The collection also includes a newspaper article (preservation copy) regarding the Thirza David Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, family histories concerning Thirza Bowen David and her activities during the Civil War, and a bullet with a handwritten note that reads: "This is the bullet that caused the loss of H. J. David's eye in the War between the States, in the Battle of Front Royal on August 16, 1864."

The collection consists of two volumes entitled Hospitals designed by Gregson & Associates, Architects, Atlanta, Georgia. Volumes contain photographs of hospitals in Georgia, mostly Atlanta and Augusta. Some hospitals included are Eugene Talmadge Memorial Hospital, Augusta, Georgia; Cobb Memorial Hospital, Austell, Georgia; and Georgia Mental Health Center, Atlanta, Georgia. There are also a few photographs of Hartselle Hospital, in Alabama; and Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Volume 2 contains the history of Gregson & Associates, and definitions of architectural lingo. Photographs are in color and include external and internal views.

R. Cobb," regarding formation of a legion. Correspondence after 1868 mainly regards Mary Ann Cobb and social life in Georgia.
