The collection consists of the political and personal papers of Maxine S. Goldstein from 1968 to 2010. It includes political files containing correspondence, clippings, publications, meeting minutes, agendas, and memorabilia relating to national and Georgia Democratic party organizations and events including the Democratic National Conventions, Democratic National Committee, Association of State Democratic Chairs, State Executive Committee, Select Committee on Women's Issues, and the Georgia Federation of Democratic Women. Appointive position files reflect Goldstein's activities in state and regional public service positions including the Georgia State Commission on Indian Affairs. The collection also contains the record book of St. Mary's Episcopal Church (Columbus, Ga.) and printed material including the proceedings of the Protestant Episcopal Church Diocese of Georgia (1846-1878, with gaps) and the Diocese of Atlanta (1907-1921, with gaps)

The Georgia counties referred to in the typescript include Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin, Rabun, Towns, Stephens, Union, and White.

Williamson S. Stuckey Papers, Series V: Related Materials, 1960-1976

Abstract Or Scope:
The related materials include photographs, memorabilia, and a scrapbook. The collection of over 700 unique photographs illustrates the life and career of Congressman Stuckey. Included in the collection are some family photos, but the majority of the prints are from the period when Stuckey was campaigning for the United States Congress from Georgia's Eighth District and activities related to his position as a US Congressman. This series also includes plaques, citations, proclamations, resolutions, and presentation certificates received by Stuckey throughout his political career. The scrapbook includes clippings from newspapers and magazines, including news and feature items. Represented are Stuckey's re-election bid for his U.S. House of Representatives seat and the successful legislation of making Cumberland Island a National Seashore.

Primarily composed of the entry materials for thousands of radio and television shows to the awards, the collection also contains entry forms, digests and indexes of entries, elaborate containers that housed entries, program descriptions, Peabody award publications and brochures, business and office files, and correspondence.

The collection consists of materials belonging to Dr. Elon Eugene Byrd of the Parasitology Department at the University of Georgia. These materials were generated as a result of his research in Samoa during World War II and reflect his involvement in malaria research and his discovery of a new species of flukes. Also included in the collection is Byrd's diary of some of his activities, as well as correspondence, writings, lantern slides, film, plate blocks, Dr. Byrd's diplomas and theses, and a journal of bird studies.
