The collection consists of general information and correspondence, dated and undated, photocopies of newspaper articles, photographs, participation records, and miscellaneous printed material related to the Athens-Clarke County Commission on the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, 1787-1987.

The collection consists of papers relating to the consolidation of Athens, Georgia and Clarke County, Georgia. Included in the collection is the proposed charter (preliminary discussion draft) from 1981, papers from the Budget and Taxation Committee, a report from the Charter Drafting Committee from July 8, 1981, reports from the Districting Committee, minutes of the meetings of the Charter Commission, a draft of the charter, and the proposed charter from August, 1981.

The collection consists of one 206-page bound volume containing hand written tax records of Athens, Clarke County, Georgia for the year 1857. Categories included are for stock and trade, horses, wagons, street intrusions, town property, slaves, carriages, and poll with notes and a column of total taxable income. Most familiar Athens residents are listed with entries for the Billups, Cobb, Hoyt, Hull, Talmage, Thomas, and hundreds of other area families.

The collection consists of photographs of the Bloomfield area of Athens, Georgia, and photographs of Oglethorpe County, Georgia. The collection also includes reproductions of photographs from the Wilson glass negatives in Special Collections.

The collection consists mainly of business papers of Athens Commission Company, dating 1895-1899. Included are business correspondences to Maurice Jankower, George Hodgson, A. H. Farrell, and Athens Commission Company, from distributors of coal, flour, typewriters, popcorn, and tobacco; and correspondence from Sol Flatau. Also included are business letters George Hodgson received as an insurance agent for various companies; and a business letter to Manufacturers Hazelton & Dozier.

The collection consists of documents, photographs, and clippings related to Barnett's work with organizations and programs such as the Athens Community Council on Aging, Inc., and the Model Cities Program.

The collection consists of files and plans, often done with his partner, fellow faculty member and noted landscaping specialist Brooks Wigginton, which document the development of post-World War II practices. Whether accompanying a modern or traditional structure, the plans often show a modern interest in making the yard a place of beauty and a center for entertaining. Of particular interest are the plans done for Cason Callaway in the development of Callaway Gardens.

The collection consists of photographs, clippings, programs, and track shoes belonging to Robert "Bob" Hornbuckle. Materials primarily date from the early 1950's.

The collection consists of the ledger of an unidentified Athens, Georgia bank containing entries from January 27, 1857-December 31, 1857. Each entry contains the date, the previous day's balance, whether the transaction is a debit or credit, the amount, name of bank or individual, check number, notes discounted and amount, the day's total, and the bank's balance.
