The collection consists of financial records of the Ben S. Thompson Ford Motor Company (Madison, Ga.) from 1911-1916. The records include cash books, daybooks listing daily record of car repairs and gas sales, and an account book listing cars sold, service records for cars containing date, type of service or repair, and price as well as a list of current expenses, and merchandise purchases.

The collection consists of the papers of Dr. Crawford W. Long and the Long family of Athens, Clarke County, Georgia from 1842-1939. Includes correspondence, bills, receipts, notes, scrapbooks, and clippings. Early correspondence (1842-1879) is between Long, his wife Caroline, and daughter Frances. From 1897-1929, the correspondence details efforts of Frances Long Taylor to establish her father's claim to the first successful use of ether as an anesthetic, including correspondence with Irish physician George Foy and Allen Smith of the University of Pennsylvania; and memorials to Long. The scrapbooks contain copies of affidavits, letters, and notes copied by Florence Long Bartow concerning her father's use of ether; genealogical material on the Long, Swain, and allied families; photographs; and clippings on Long's career and memorials. The collection also contains bills, receipts, and legal documents for Emma M. Long and the estate of Frances Long Taylor.

Cobb: an account book containing financial transactions and Latin lessons and exercises (1872-1880); A record of time, which is a notebook recording weather, social activities, church attendance, studies at the University of Georgia, and people staying at Lewis J. Lampkin's boarding house (1873-1875); and a notebook listing deaths and marriages, and describing weather conditions, social activities, and some medical remedies (1895-1926).

The collection consists of an account book containing records of transactions for dry goods sold in Morgan County, possibly Madison, Georgia, from 1857-1869. The account book was also used as a scrapbook, and contains recipes, poetry, and newspaper clippings regarding agriculture, framing, and home remedies. The collection also includes a ledge that appears to deal with the purchase and sale of cotton in the Madison, Georgia area, from 1889-1898.
