The collection consists of script books for characters in the production of Quincy Adams Sawyer, marked "Property of Charles F. Atkinson, Brookline, Massachusetts"; Aphrodite, "Atkinson's Comedy Company, property of Charles Atkinson, Brookline, Massachusetts"; Blennerhassett; and Miss Petticoats, "C.M.C. Atkinson, Boston, Massachusetts." Script books are marked with penciled instructions, additions, and corrections. The collection also includes theatrical posters (including a show under the direction of Atkinson & Thatcher), advertisements, promotional materials for various shows, photographs of actors (including Raymond Close), and programs from various theaters in New England.
