The collection consists of two scrapbooks: created by Mrs. Anne E. Gartrell, containing newspaper articles regarding Henry Grady's death, and tributes to his life (circa 1889); "presented to Mrs. Mattie N. Grady," containing miscellaneous newspaper clippings, including articles about and by Henry W. Grady, and articles by and concerning the death of Mrs. Estelle Leyden Moody (1878-1879).

Biographical / historical:

Anne Gartrell Grady was the mother of Henry W. Grady.
