Scope and content:

The collection consists of photocopies of Henry Newman Salzburger letterbooks from the originals in London in the archives of the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge. The photocopies are as follows: Extracts of Letters; Letters to the Saltzburghers & Georgia, vol. 1; Letters from the Saltzburghers, etc., vol. 1; Letters from the Salzburg & Georgia, vol. 2; Letters from and to the Saltzburghers & Georgia, vol. 2; Letters from Saltzburghers & Georgia, vol. 3; An Account of Receipts and Disbursements; The Several Accounts of Receipts and Disbursements; Saltzburgh Emigration to Georgia; Index of Letters Sent.

The collection also includes an incomplete typescript of Henry Newman's Salzburger letterbooks, transcribed and edited by George Fenwick Jones and published by the University of Georgia. The typescript contains handwritten notations and corrections.
