The collection consists of a letter written by Sir Walter Scott. The seven-line letter is a third-person address of good wishes to the distinguished Scottish author Charles Mackay of the Theatre Royal. Mackay added a note at the bottom of the page. The entire item is enclosed in a carved wooden frame.
