The diary (1861-1867) entries discuss social life in Georgia during and after the Civil War, politics, the progress of the war, and Union troops in and around Milledgeville (Ga.).
The correspondence consists of letters between Anna Maria and Samuel Austin Cook both before and after their marriage; letters to Anna Maria from her father Thomas F.
