This file contains papers related to an extradition case which includes letters from William Henry Huff, the attorney who represented the mother of Emmett Till (Mamie Bradley). While the Till case was his most famous, he began his career as an extradition lawyer representing Black persons fleeing peonage in the South. He was a member of International Labor Defense and helped establish the Abolish Peonage Committee within the organization.
