This collection contains family histories, including memoirs, personal writing, letters, photographs, and ephemera regarding the Ramsey, Winter, Miller, and Carroll families. It contains detailed narrative histories illustrating deep genealogical lines, along with selected journal entries and collected family stories and autobiographies about each of the families.

Biographical / historical:

The Ramsey, Winter, Miller and Carroll collective family history goes back to Colonial South Carolina and Georgia. Included are Revolutionary War soldier Willis Ramsey and Confederate veteran James Graves Ramsey, and textile artist Bets Miller Ramsey in photographs and written history. Edward G. and Vinnye Miller Carroll's records are represented, as is Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Miller's Life Review. June Winter Miller and Caroline Andrews Winter have life histories included, and the Winter family is recorded in letters, photographs and poems.
