This collection contains correspondence and business records of the Richard E. and Mary Ann Miller family and other allied families. It includes land surveys and deeds, deeds for enslaved individuals, business receipts and records. It also contains Civil War correspondence to and from three Miller brothers, Stephen, Richard and John, who served with the 2nd Regiment, North Carolina Volunteers, and 43rd and 67th Regiment, North Carolina Infantry.
