Sylvia Hillyard Pannell is a professor emerita with the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at the University of Georgia. She holds a B.S. degree in Clothing and Textiles and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from Florida State University. She was a theatrical designer and educator for over three decades, and her experiences include designing for both film and stage.
