This collection contains correspondence to and from Alice Friman's parents, spouse, sister, children, friends and colleagues. There are drafts, proofs, and examples of her published writing, along with some ephemera including her baseball patterned Keds sneakers.

Biographical / historical:

Alice Friman (1933-) is an American poet. She has taught at a number of universities and helped to found the Indiana Writers' Center. She is Professor Emerita at the University of Indianapolis, and was poet-in-residence at Georgia College and State University.
