Scope and content:

This collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, sheet music, screenplays, writing, and art produced by a wide array of gay writers, poets, musicians, and artists. It also includes printed material, artifacts and ephemera regarding LGBT subject matter.

Biographical / historical:

Dr. Richard Hudson (1960-2022) was a family medicine specialist and book collector from Atlanta, Georgia. He worked closely with patients from underserved communities especially focusing on patients from the AIDS, transgender, and deaf and deaf-blind communities. Originally from Michigan, the youngest of three children born to Richard and Carol Patton Hudson.
