Collection includes papers and other materials pertaining to the Chandler family, originally from Columbus, Georgia, dating mostly from the 1830s-1920s. Notable materials include extensive correspondence for both Reverend George T. Chandler and his son, Sidney G. Chandler, legal documents, and the scrapbook album belonging to Mrs. Mary A. Thomas.

Biographical / historical:

Reverend George T. Chandler (1866-1955) was a Presbyterian minister, married to Sidney McKee Chandler (1866-1955). His son, Sidney Grigsby Chandler (1900-1964), was a World War II military veteran, married to Marie Erwin Chandler (1904-1971).
