Biographical / historical:

Hetty Jane Dunaway Sewell (1879-1961) was an actress, singer, and performer specializing in one person monologues, who performed widely across the eastern United States in summer theater chautauqua circuits. She created a theater school in an elaborate garden setting at her home near Newnan, Georgia during the 1930s.
