This collection contains correspondence from Captain G.M. Butt of the Army Service Corps to his father G.W. Butt of Littlehampton. Included are 4 letters, 2 programs, and 9 photographs relating to British Salonica Army concert parties held on the Macedonian Front during World War I.

Biographical / historical:

The British Salonica Army served in World War I on the Macedonian Front from 1915 through the end of the war. The Army Service Corps, in which Captain Butts was a part of, provided transportation and quartermaster duties for the British Armies.
