Scope and content:

The collection consists of farm accounts that consist of one-line entry for each day stating the farm activities, family news, and weather. also included are farm accounts with tenant expenses and purchases for the farm. There are also loose bills, receipts, and some correspondence.

Biographical / historical:

William Coleman Hardman was born January 17, 1860 in Crawford, Georgia. He died in April 1940 in Crawford. He had three brothers and four sisters. He married Mary Elizabeth Bridges (1872-1915), and together they had four children. He owned about 230 acres of land and had built a house by 1906.
