The collection consists of nine broadsides advertising theater productions that took place in Sadler's Wells Theatre; Palace Theatre, Sunderland; Empire Theatre, Nottingham; Holloway Empire Theatre; Glasgow Tivoli Palace Theatre; Alhambra Theatre, Belfast; Queen's Theatre, Fleetwood; and The Grand Theatre, Stockton-On-Tees.

Biographical / historical:

Broadsides were printed by various printers, including: William & Strahan printers, Lambeth, S.E.; Stafford & Co., Ltd., Netherfield, Notts; John Horn, LTD., London and Glasgow; Leggat Brothers, Glasgow; and David Allen & Sons LTD.
